Microsatellite Target System receives second round of funding
Joe Cecil, associate professor of industrial engineering at NMSU, recently received $85,000 of a Small Business Technology Transfer Program Phase II grant titled “Microsatellite Target System.” The grant follows Phase I funding for the project and the total funding for the project is $225,000. NMSU will partner with MicroSat Systems, Inc. in Littleton, Colo., which is the lead organization on this initiative funded by the Missile Defense Agency. The two-year project activities include telecom system support, launch vehicle interface design, and assembly/process design/integration assessment.
